Police Department
The Dudley Police Department serves the rural Town of Dudley, which is situated in south central Massachusetts, about 22 miles south of the City of Worcester. Dudley has a population of approximately 11,921 people. The men and women of the Dudley Police Department are dedicated to providing excellent service through partnerships that build trust, reduce crime, create a safe environment, and enhance the quality of life for the people in our community. We support the highest level of public safety and quality of life. Our Community
The Dudley Police Department is located in the rural Town of Dudley, situated in south central Massachusetts, about 22 miles south of Worcester, Massachusetts and bordering Connecticut. The bordering towns include Charlton, Oxford, Southbridge, and Webster, MA, as well as Thompson, CT. With a population of approximately 11,921 people, Dudley consists of a total land area of 22.06 square miles and is the home of Nichols College and the Dudley-Charlton Regional High School (Shepherd Hill).
Department Profile
In addition to the Chief of Police, the department consists of one Lieutenant, four Sergeants, ten full-time Police Officers, three Reserve Police Officers, and one Admin Assistant. The department fleet consists of six marked cruisers, and four unmarked cruisers. The Dudley Police Department is a non-civil service department.
