Recreation Commission

The Recreation Commission is comprised of volunteers who oversee present and plan for future recreational opportunities for Dudley residents. Presently, the Commission is focused on the rehabilitation and reopening of the Funzone Playground at the Dudley Municipal Complex, and a multi-year maintenance and rehabilitation plan for the Town Beach.

Term: Terms are three years, except that the initial appointment shall be two members who shall serve for three years, two members who shall serve for two years, and one member who shall serve for one year.

Purpose: To seek the development of recreational programs and the enhancement of recreational facilities and opportunities within the Town.

Responsibilities: The Commission shall be charged with the recreation programs designed by the Committee and approved by the Board of Selectmen.

Membership: Comprised of five members, all of who are residents of the Town. Commission members shall be appointed by the Board of Selectmen and shall serve at the pleasure of the Selectmen.
