This morning, at approximately 7:40 am, School Resource Officer Philip Megas stopped a vehicle in the Shepherd Hill parking lot for a speeding infraction. The operator refused to identify himself and requested a supervisor. Chief Marek Karlowicz responded to assist Officer Megas along with other officers. Chief Karlowicz attempted to reason with the operator while requesting him to identify himself. After several attempts, the operator continued to refuse to identify himself and was placed in custody.
The 39-year-old operator was identified as Daniel Jason-Rajecki of Southbridge. He was charged with speeding and motor vehicle operator refusing to identify self. He was booked and arraigned at Dudley District Court this morning.
