Press Release: Karlowicz sworn in a Dudley Police Chief

Dudley Police Lt. Marek Karlowicz was sworn in as the town’s next Police Chief by Town Clerk Lori
A. Smith on January 9.
Karlowicz was the unanimous choice of selectmen to succeed retiring Police Chief Steven Wojnar,
effective noon on January 13.
Lt. Karlowicz was hired as a reserve officer in 2000. He became a fulltime patrolman in 2002 and was
promoted to sergeant in 2019. He was sworn in as Lieutenant in January.
The town extends congratulations to Chief Wojnar on his retirement and incoming Chief Karlowicz.
