Employee Spotlight - Olivia Antonson

Olivia is a highly regarded asset to the town for the summer. She primarily assists in the Town Administrator’s Office and also provides support to the Town Clerk Treasurer/Collector, and Town Accountant. this is Olivia’s second summer internship with the town.

Olivia earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Nichols College. She is presently working toward her Master of Public Affairs with a concentration in Local Government Management from Indiana University. 

“My first internship with the Town was one of the primary reasons why I decided to pursue my MPA; it was the ‘aha moment’ I was looking for,” Olivia said. “During my time working for the Town, I’ve gained experience in a variety of areas, including collective bargaining agreements, human resources policies, town meetings, local government finances, accounts payable, and tax collection. I’m proud to work here alongside Dudley’s dedicated public servants.”

As for the most interesting function in her job, Olivia said, “There’s always something new, whether that be a project to complete, problem to solve, or procedure to learn.”

Once she finishes grad school, Olivia aspires to continue working in Massachusetts local government and pursue a career as a town administrator.
